Although we've been playing the Lego video games for years, somehow up to this point we've mostly avoided Legos themselves. We've had MegaBloks since Olivia was a baby, and Damon got a small Lego Duplo set a while ago. Olivia got a Lego Friends set two years ago that she liked, but it never became a thing. Until now.
Amber and I had talked about getting bigger Lego sets for the upcoming birthdays, so she checked online and found someone in the neighborhood who was selling a bucket of Legos for relatively cheap. She wasn't able to keep it a secret, though, so for the last couple of days we've all been playing with Legos.
It turned out to be a pretty good set with lots of interesting pieces. The little sets you can get in the store are fun, but you can usually only build one thing with them. This has enough pieces from various sets that you can pretend to be a "master builder" and make whatever you want. Here's Damon holding the helicopter I made for him.
With this set, and the birthdays coming up, I think it's safe to say that we're into Legos now.

Easter
Easter was on the same Sunday as General Conference this year, which made it a little easier to fit in all the Easter activities.
It was raining on and off all day, but the Easter Bunny still managed to drop off some Easter baskets in the morning.
The kids were very excited, of course.
We dyed eggs in between conference sessions.
And had an Easter Egg hunt in rain boots.

It was nice to be able to fit everything in without having to hurry to church, but still get some really good messages from the conference talks.
