Homophonic Typos III

Some more for you:
  • Famous, notable, popular – yes. But not great, in the fullest sense of the world.
  • [Thing 1, thing 2, thing 3] and the least goes on
  • We've come along way
  • I don't want to state the audience, but she is SO DUMB
  • Such questions are the some total
  • And, in the oft-chance that somehow
  • You have a flare for layout design

Homophonic Typos II

And the list goes on...
  • I personally got a pig kick out of learning that
  • You will fill guilty
  • That road is a dead-in
  • Guns poise a risk to their owners
  • Why would they fell the need to
  • Why go there when my own are chalk full of them

Homophonic Typos

In the ever-entertaining world of typos, I think my favorite are homophonic typos -- substitutions of words or phrases that sound similar, but are spelled differently (e.g., "reign in" instead of "rein in"). Whether through ignorance or subconscious morphing, the printed result is often pretty funny (the tired exceptions being "there, their, they're" and "your, you're").

Here are a few I've collected from my reading over the past few weeks:
  • a rye comment
  • why should people before to fund something they are opposed to
  • [name] and [name] when to school together
  • if he thinks that, he's a full
  • interest rates paid on funds buy investment firms
