Silveria's Farm and Salsa

Sharon Silveria told us we should come to their farm, because they had more produce than they could use. Amber took the kids took her up on her offer and they had a great time picking fruits and vegetables.

They even got a little driving practice in while they were there.

They came back home with lots of tomatoes, so Amber had the kids help make and bottle a lot of salsa.

I don't imagine it will last long since Carmen looooves salsa!

FSY and Shakespeare Camp

Olivia and Carmen kicked off the summer with back-to-back weeks of summer camps. First they went to Huntsville for a week of FSY. They had a few issues early on, and Olivia managed to lose her phone for a while, but they came back smiling and said they had a good experience.

The following week they attended Shakespeare Camp, where they participated in a bunch of activities, learned some scenes, and put on a final performance for us.

Blood types

We were realizing we didn't know for sure what the kids' blood types were. We probably could have found it somewhere in their documentation, but Amber thought it would be fun to get some blood typing kits.

I'm B+ and Amber is O+, so our kids should have been 75% B+.

After some poking and testing, we found out that they defied the odds, because the tests all came out as O+.

My birthday

I had my 43rd birthday this year.

I didn't really do anything special, but I had fun opening presents. Along with some normal stuff, like Lego sets and a new swimsuit, Amber found me some funny ones this year, like finger lights, a beard trimming apron, and remote-control Rocket League cars. For dessert, we had a delicious apple crumble.
