New upstairs bathroom vanity

Amber has wanted to replace the upstairs bathroom vanity for a while now. There is not enough counter space, and she thought the lower space should include drawers.

So of course, she designed, built, and installed a new one herself. (Miles helped a little.)

She found a guy to cut and install a quartz countertop.

Then she installed her custom-built doors and drawers, installed the faucets, and reinstalled the mirror (with trim). Looks amazing!

Eagle Springs Eggstravaganza

I took Carmen and Miles to the Eagle Springs Eggstravaganza. Damon was gone doing a Deacon's Quorum service project, and Olivia was already at the festival. She needed some volunteer hours for NHS, so she was running some of the carnival games.

The kids are getting a little too big for this, but nobody is too old to ride the train.

Miles did the egg hunt, then we did a few more things, like the petting zoo, before walking home.

Damon's NJHS induction

Damon was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society this week.

We've been to a few of these ceremonies, and it's always fun to watch the kids try to light candles to represent the values of NJHS. It's not always easy for Damon to focus on school, but he's doing great this year and we're proud of what he's accomplished.

Pi day pie

In true nerd fashion, Damon wanted to make a pie for Pi Day. It was delicious!

Ostrich and camel races

The stars finally aligned and we were able to go back to the ostrich and camel races over the weekend.

We had fun picking random horses while waiting for the real races to begin.

The ostriches were first, and it was beautiful chaos.

We got some fries and watched some horse racing until it was time for the camel races. It was a photo finish.
