Pie Face

For our Monday-night activity, one of the boys decided we should play Pie Face. It's a silly game, but the kids thought it was hilarious.

Amber was not as thrilled to play as the kids, but that just made it that much funnier to them.

Multi-player

While Amber was gone at girls camp I got two more controllers for my PS4. We have a few multi-player games and the kids would argue over who got to play. They were thrilled when I brought home the controllers. It worked great, except there are four controllers and four kids, so now I'm the one who doesn't get to play!

My favorite multi-player game is Rocket League, which Carmen will play with me, but the other kids don't like because it's too hard for them. When they play together, they usually play Beach Buggy Racing, a low-budget Mario Kart-style game.

They're cute playing together. Carmen and Olivia will slow down to let Miles and Damon win, so everyone has fun.

Valentine's cards

Since Valentine's Day is the day before Amber's birthday we typically don't do much to celebrate it. As we prepared for the kids' school Valentine's parties, we were joking about the silly puns in Valentine's cards, like "Won't you bee my Valentine?" (with a picture of a bee on it), and we started trying to outdo each other with what other puns could be used.

At first, we thought of the most boring, mundane things you could actually include in the card:
  • I pine for you, Valentine
  • Let's stick together
  • You rock, Valentine
  • I love you very mulch
  • We're mud for each other
  • I'm root-ing for you to be my Valentine
  • Talk dirt-y to me
  • I'm lichen being with you

Which led to slightly more inappropriate things to physically include in a card:
  • I roach you this note to tell you Happy Valentine's Day
  • As I toad you before, be my Valentine
  • Let's gopher a date, Valentine
  • You're a fungi, Valentine
  • Would it bug you to be my Valentine?
  • [Sniff here] Ammonia asking you to be my Valentine

Which naturally led to downright disgusting things to include:
  • I in-cyst you be my Valentine
  • Let's snot argue, be my Valentine
  • Let's carrion our relationship
  • I'd like toe jam with you
  • Zit would be great if you'd be my Valentine
  • Your smile worms my heart
  • I'm maggot you to be my Valentine
  • I'll diarrhea-l fast if you won't be my Valentine

So of course, for Valentine's day, this is the card Amber received:
